REVOLVING FILMS TACO TUESDAY- JIM JARMUSCH

This Tuesday we are ALL about Jim Jarmusch. This legendary director has a long, weird list of creations. Two worth mentioning first, are the ones that we will be featuring May 23rd.

Ghost Dog, The Way of the Samurai-

Ghost Dog (Forest Whitaker) is a contract killer, a master of his trade who can whirl a gun at warp speed and moves through this world like a phantom -- stealthy and evanescent. In the spirit of the samurai, he has pledged his loyalty to a small time mobster named Louie (John Tormey) who saved his life many years before.

Released in the year 2000.

Gimme Danger- the Story of The Stooges-

Emerging from Ann Arbor, Mich., amidst a countercultural revolution, The Stooges' powerful and aggressive style of rock 'n' roll blew a crater in the musical landscape of the late 1960s. Assaulting audiences with a blend of rock, blues, R&B, and free jazz, the band planted the seeds for what would be called punk and alternative rock in the decades that followed. Jim Jarmusch's documentary presents the context of The Stooges' emergence.
